Best Man Speech Script

Good evening everyone. For those who don't know me, I'm [Name] — [Groom]'s [how you know each other]. Before I start, I want to say that I was asked to keep this short. And I've taken that very seriously. [Pause for laughter.] [Groom] and I have been friends for [X] years. In that time, I've seen a lot of sides of him. I've seen him [funny story setup — embarrassing but kind]. I've seen him [second story]. And then I saw the way he looked at [Partner] for the first time. I've never seen him so [genuine quality — nervous, focused, happy, etc.]. [Groom], I've known you your whole adult life. And I can honestly say — this is the best decision you've ever made. [Partner], welcome to the family. We've been waiting for someone to keep him in line. Ladies and gentlemen, would you please stand and raise your glasses. To [Groom] and [Partner].
