Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy explains how Aranzolm Technologies LLC ("we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, and protects information when you use ScriptScroller.com (the "Service"). We are committed to handling your data responsibly and in compliance with the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), the UK GDPR, the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), and other applicable privacy laws.
The short version: ScriptScroller is designed with privacy in mind. Your scripts are processed locally in your browser and are not uploaded to our servers. We do not require sign-up and we do not sell your data. We collect standard analytics data and may display ads through Google AdSense.
1. Who We Are
2. Information We Collect
2.1 Scripts and Text Content
When you paste or type a script into ScriptScroller, the text is processed locally in your web browser. Your scripts are not transmitted to, stored on, or accessible by our servers. We have no access to the content of your scripts.
If you use the pre-written script library, those scripts are served as static page content and do not involve any personal data collection.
2.2 Voice and Audio Data
ScriptScroller offers a voice-activated scrolling feature that uses your device's microphone to detect your speech and automatically scroll the teleprompter at your speaking pace. When this feature is enabled:
- Microphone access is requested through your browser's standard permission prompt. You may deny or revoke this permission at any time through your browser settings.
- Audio processing is performed using Deepgram's speech recognition API. When voice-activated scrolling is active, audio from your microphone is streamed in real time to Deepgram's servers for speech-to-text processing. This is necessary for the feature to function.
- Deepgram's data handling: Deepgram processes audio data to provide real-time transcription. We encourage you to review Deepgram's Privacy Policy for details on how they handle audio data, including their data retention and security practices.
- We do not store any audio recordings or transcriptions on our servers. Once the voice-activated scrolling session ends, no audio data is retained by us.
- The voice-activated scrolling feature is entirely optional. You can use ScriptScroller with fixed-speed or manual scrolling without ever enabling microphone access.
2.3 Information Collected Automatically
When you visit ScriptScroller, we automatically collect certain technical information through cookies and similar technologies:
- IP address and approximate geographic location (country/region level)
- Browser type, version, and language
- Operating system and device type (desktop, tablet, mobile)
- Pages visited, time spent on pages, referring URL, and clickstream data
- Date and time of visit
- Screen resolution
2.4 Information You Provide Directly
If you contact us via email or the contact form, we collect the information you voluntarily share, such as your name, email address, and the contents of your message.
2.5 Information We Do NOT Collect
ScriptScroller does not require registration and we do not collect:
- Names, usernames, or passwords
- Email addresses (except when you contact us directly)
- Payment or financial information
- The content of your scripts
- Recordings of your audio (audio is streamed to Deepgram for real-time processing only when voice-activated scrolling is enabled; we do not receive or store the audio)

6. Third-Party Services
We do not sell your personal information. We share information with the following categories of third parties:
6.1 Deepgram (Voice Processing)
When you enable voice-activated scrolling, audio is streamed to Deepgram Inc. for real-time speech recognition. Deepgram processes this audio to provide transcription that controls the teleprompter scroll speed. We do not receive or store the audio. See Deepgram's Privacy Policy for details on their data handling practices.
6.2 Google (Analytics and Advertising)
We use Google Analytics for site analytics and may use Google AdSense for advertising. Both services use cookies. See Google's Privacy Policy.
6.3 Hosting and Service Providers
We use hosting providers and other vendors to operate the Service. These providers are bound by confidentiality obligations.
6.4 Legal and Safety
We may disclose information when required by law, to respond to a subpoena or court order, to protect our rights, or to investigate fraud.
7. Local Storage and Browser Data
ScriptScroller may use your browser's local storage (not cookies) to save your preferences such as scroll speed, font size, and mirror mode settings. This data is stored entirely on your device and is not transmitted to our servers. You can clear this data at any time through your browser settings.
8. International Data Transfers
ScriptScroller is operated from the United States. If you are visiting from outside the United States, information collected may be transferred to and processed in the United States or other countries where our service providers (including Deepgram and Google) operate. Where required by law, we use appropriate safeguards such as Standard Contractual Clauses.
9. Data Retention
We retain personal information only as long as necessary:
- Scripts: Not retained — processed locally in your browser only.
- Audio: Not retained by us — streamed to Deepgram during active voice-scrolling sessions only.
- Analytics data: Retained for up to 26 months via Google Analytics.
- Email correspondence: Retained as long as needed to respond and maintain a record.
10. Your Rights
10.1 Rights for EEA, UK, and Swiss Residents (GDPR)
You have the right to: access, rectify, erase, restrict, port, and object to processing of your personal data. You may also withdraw consent and lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.

11. Children's Privacy
ScriptScroller is not directed to children under the age of 16. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will take steps to delete it.
12. Data Security
We implement reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect information. However, no method of transmission over the Internet is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
