When to use this script
Use this when the video needs a spine. Reviews, first impressions, and patch breakdowns all have a recurring problem: the creator knows the subject well, starts talking, and produces twenty minutes with no structure. A script gives you the shape — a verdict, the evidence for it, and a recommendation — without stripping out your personality.
It matters most for the opening and the verdict. Those are the two things viewers come for, and they are the two most often buried in the middle of an unstructured take.
Making it sound like you
- State your verdict early and then justify it. Withholding the conclusion for twenty minutes loses the audience that came for it.
- Replace generic praise with specifics — the mechanic, the moment, the number.
- Keep your own voice. Gaming and vlog audiences are unusually quick to detect borrowed phrasing.
- Write the structure, improvise the reactions. The unscripted moments are what the format is for.
Reading it out loud
Most of this is recorded to camera or as voiceover over footage, so keep the script near the lens for talking-head sections and read it comfortably for voiceover. For voiceover in particular, read it aloud once before recording so the phrasing matches your speaking rhythm.
